Peters Township District News
Attention Parent Volunteers!
The District strongly supports the involvement of parents in our schools. Most often, these volunteers are under the direct supervision of teachers and staff members when they are with students in the building. However, when a volunteer is in contact with students without a teacher/staff member present, the District now requires that the necessary clearances are in place.

Peters Township High School students continue to receive national recognition for their outstanding performance on the Advanced Placement exams. Not only do these students challenge themselves in taking the exams, but 140 students have earned AP Scholar Awards for their performance in 2014.

Peters Township School District is looking for an interested individual to fill a Board vacancy on the Township’s Parks and Recreation Board. In addition, this Board will also take part in a comprehensive Parks and Recreation Planning process in the coming year. The Peters Township School Board nominates individuals for three seats on this seven member board.

Imagination Celebrations - Take a look!
This spring PTSD celebrated arts all across the District. Visit our Imagination Celebration webpage to see some of the samples of student work that was shared!
School Performance Profiles Available
Beginning in 2013, school districts across Pennsylvania will now share student academic performance data using a School Performance Profile (SPP). While schools previously received a No Child Left Behind designation of “adequate yearly progress”, public schools will now receive an academic performance score. Overall our scores are excellent and reflect the high standards that our parents and community expect from our schools.
Monthly Highlights
